The Bubble Has Begun to Burst...
Sadly, the GPT industry is losing steam. They've begun to change their policies to appease their advertisers. These policy changes are so virulent that I don't think that they themselves will last much longer because of it. Everything from non-crediting, contests, promos, & even the amount of pay per offers are being critically cut.
With that said, I'm scaling back on the GPT sites that I participate in. From here on out I'm going to stick with the larger sites that are much more likely to make it through this storm, and haven't resorted to ridiculous policy changes.
Heck, all of the larger sites haven't made any mention of problems with their advertisers period. Most of them are so busy marketing their site (like Treasure Trooper with their new TV ad), kicking off great contests (like Swatcash's Summer Contest), or offering new forms of payout (like Fusioncash's direct deposit option).
It's the beginning of the end of an era, but honestly, like with the Dotcom's, the good ones will become great (Yahoo?), and everything else will just fade away.

Getting Started with GPT Sites!
-You'll need an email address specifically just for all these sites so that you won't receive spam in your regular email folder. Try a site like, Mailbling.com
-Worried about telemarketers calling you? You can get a free online phone number with voice mail from PrivatePhone.com.
-Join Obopay and you can transfer your cash via text msgs! Just like Paypal...ONLY BETTER! Join obopay! Get $5 You can even send the free cash straight to your bank account!
-Internet Explorer is the best browser to use in order to get your offers to credit.
-Your computer needs to accept cookies in order for your offers to credit.
How to Set your computer to accept cookies in IE:
-Click on "Tools" in the top menu bar.
-Click on "Internet Options"
-Click on the "Privacy" tab.
-Slide the bar all the way down until it says "Accept All Cookies"
-Then go to "Advance" and un-check "override automatic cookie handling" if checked.
-You will need some kind of spyware stopper on your computer. I recommend a combination of programs like Avast!, Spybot, and CCleaner. All are available for free from Download.com
-Do *exactly* as the information specifies to do. If it says complete to the end, then you have to keep going until the end.
-*CLEAR YOUR COOKIES AFTER EVERY OFFER!*
-How to Clean out your Cookies in IE:
You can clean out all your cookies, but if you do, you will have to sign back in with cashcrate because you wont be signed in anymore. To do this you can do the following:
1. Go to "Tools" in the taskbar on the top of your web browser.
2. Click on "Internet Options"
3. Click on "Delete Cookies", "Delete Files", and "Clear History"
4. Do this after 'completing' each offer and you will see a greater number of offer approvals.
-Some offers are instant, others can take as long as a month, or require confirmation.
-Find out if your website has a "non-credit request" form. They're normally only good for free/trial or credit card offers, but atleast you'll get paid!
-Report any broken links (non-working links) via a "trouble ticket" or through the sites contact forms. You'll often get some kind of reward for alerting the site's admin to the problem.
-Read their forums & your inbox! Sometimes there will be free contests, promo codes, etc for those that actually pay attention and participate.
-Running out of offers to complete? Go back through your pending files and redo the *free* offers that haven't credited from over 2 wks ago. Some offers can take multiple tries before they'll clear.
-Many sites now have their own guides on how to complete and use their site. One of the more popular ones is TreasureTrainer!

Why I Blog...
This blog was created to document the programs I'm currently using to make myself gainfully self-employed.
History:
Until mid-July last year(2006), I had been working for a grocery store as one of the assistant heads of the deli department. The pay was fair, the work was not. I had only a few months previously found out that my right arm had nerve damage in it. I had asked the company to refrain from having me work the meat slicer as the Doc had told me that it would exacerbate the damage. The store didn't aquiesk to my requests, and after having to deal with their backward logic, and an insensitive store manager. I quit.
Since then I've returned to school at my own expense (student loan). And have been back to school for 2 semesters now, with 4 more semesters remaining until I fulfill my Bachelor's degree.
Debt:
While I was transitioning last year, I accrued $800 worth of credit card debit. I now also have a student loan that when I finish school will be around $10k. I also have a hospital bill from right after Hurricane Katrina, that I haven't paid off entirely yet that's around $200. (There was no place else to go, and I didn't have insurance at the time.) I also have bills to take care of as well including a past due bill of $127.
Goal:
My goal is to afford a decent living on my own, and payback my current debt.
